Marketing copywriter and public relations expert Kathleen Hanover is Ohio’s first Certified Go-Giver Speaker, and is one of fewer than sixty professional speakers and coaches worldwide who is authorized to present content from Bob Burg’s best-selling business books “The Go-Giver: A Little Story About a Powerful Business Idea” (with John David Mann) and “Endless Referrals: Network Your Everyday Contacts Into Sales.”
Kathleen started doing marketing and PR “in the trenches” just after she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theater. (It turns out, PR pays way better than directing Shakespeare.) And over twenty-five years later, she’s still getting dramatic results for clients.
Early in her career, in the arts and non-profit sectors, Kathleen learned how to attract free publicity for her local arts agency through the magic of public relations—often finding her press releases published verbatim in the local paper. Her first foray into copywriting resulted in a direct mail fundraising campaign that helped save her own job during a period of funding cuts.
Several years in the Real Estate industry (as a Re/Max® Realtor®, certified home inspector, and home stager) gave Kathleen unique insights into marketing big-ticket items (homes), professional services, and even herself – because every Realtor is a brand.
Years later, after being recruited by a highly regarded B2B marketing agency, Kathleen discovered that her persuasive writing skills had a name: “marketing copywriting.” Trained by the agency’s founder to replace himself as their lead copywriter, Kathleen’s copywriting and campaign concept work went on to earn local, regional and international marketing and public relations awards. In just five years, Kathleen’s copywriting helped generate millions of dollars’ worth of leads, sales, and publicity for clients ranging from local arts organizations to enterprise technology companies.
Today, Kathleen helps transformative entrepreneurs and SMEs make the world a better place by flexing her business superpower, spreading good news that improves peoples’ lives.
